Asymptomatic COVID-19 cases

An asymptomatic COVID-19 patient doesn’t develop the COVID-19 symptoms. Such cases are confirmed only after laboratory testing. These cases are usually encountered when one person comes in contact with asymptomatic or confirmed COVID-19 cases. To date, there has been no documented asymptomatic transmission (transmission of the virus from a person, who does not exhibit symptoms). However, experts have warned that such transmissions may occur or might have occurred. In many countries, asymptomatic cases have been reported as a part of contact tracing efforts. The prevalence of asymptomatic infection is not well understood.
