A major concern: First-degree contact

In January 2020, a novel virus, severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), was identified responsible for a number of pneumonia cases reported in Wuhan, China. Now named, COVID-19, the virus has spread throughout China with an additional of 26 countries as of today. Several studies state that one of the main reasons for the rapid spread of the virus is due to person to person transmission.

As of Jan 23, 2020, USA reported its first confirmed case of COVID-19 in a traveler who returned from Wuhan in mid-January, 2020. Several obtained data suggested that the person to person transmission can most likely occur through unprotected, prolonged exposure to patient expressing the COVID-19 symptoms.
